Please be assured that the staff at Kern County Law Library has been monitoring recommendations, best practices and guidelines closely, in partnership with the courts, public law library systems, county public health departments, CDC and other health officials, in order to help ensure the health and safety of our patrons and staff.
Law Library Board of Trustees will be holding a special meeting Tuesday March 17, 2020 regarding the closure of the Law Library due to COVID-19. We will be sure to keep the public updated.
At the same time, we have undertaken some precautions to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases:
Workstations, mice, and keyboards are being cleaned and disinfected daily using products with EPA- approved emerging viral pathogens.
Disinfectant cleaning solution is also being used on doorknobs and doorplates throughout the Library daily.
Any staff members exhibiting any symptoms of illness are required to stay home.
Patrons are being asked to seek assistance from home if they are exhibiting any symptoms of illness.
All law library workshops have been canceled until further notice.
Effective immediately any Kern County Superior Court workshops or classes that are provided by Court personnel will be suspended indefinitely. The courts hope to be able to provide this valuable service again in the near future when the current health concerns subside.
Please call us at 661-868-5320 or 661-868-5460 if you need any assistance. We may be able to email materials to you. You may also email us at info@kclawlib.org
