You should receive a response to your call or email if you leave a clear message detailing the reason for your inquiry.

Please provide clear contact information and a summary of the reason for your call if you dial us at (661) 610-6325.  If you hang up without leaving a message, you will not receive a call back.

Please be sure to give as much detail as possible if you contact us via email at library@kern.courts.ca.gov .  The more information we have in an email inquiry, the better.

Library staff provides assistance to approximately 1,000 walk-in visitors per month, and therefore cannot guarantee a timeframe in which you may expect a response.

If you are experiencing an emergency, do not wait for a response from the Kern County Law Library.

If you believe you may be in danger, you should dial 911 right away.
